Today marks exactly one week until Team Canada 4 takes off for Salt Lake City. It will be our first stop on the road to documentary film-making (excluding the many months of planning to get there).
I started this blog as a way to document all of the amazing experiences I know I will have on this trip. Lorna, Elizabeth, Rob and I will all get a taste of oil in North America from all the players in the field. With the current oil spill in the Gulf Coast, our research should take an interesting turn.
MediaLab "Save the Date" cards will say that October 30 is the moment of truth. For this team, it is the journey of collecting the materials to make up that final product that will define the experience.
So everyone hold on, because my hope is that you can come along for the ride through these entries. North America better watch out, because TC4 is on the trail, and it is sure to be a slick one...
Up in the air...
Five airports, four countries, and a month in Kampala, Uganda was only the beginning of my travels in 2010. Soon I will grow familiar with airports and the open road. I am going places, and I want you all to go with me. Follow my blog as I storm North America for "Oil Literacy," a comprehensive documentary about the oil industry. The film won't be ready until October, but this blog will fill you in on all the nitty-gritty work behind the scenes. Anything can happen...it's up in the air!
